Your tasks:
- Automation of the execution of sub-projects
- Programming the controls for ship loading and unloading
- Creation of the system specification and project documentation
- Checking the circuit diagrams
- Commissioning of the ship loader/unloader including the peripheral equipment and occasionally the associated silo system
- Training of customer personnel during/after commissioning for correct operation and troubleshooting
- Service assignments with remote maintenance or directly on site at the customer's premises
- Internal contact for automation topics for engineering, R&D and offers
- Cross-departmental collaboration with R&D, engineering and assembly
- Continuous implementation of improvements
Your profile:
- Completed technical/commercial training as an electronics technician for automation technology or equivalent
- Several years of professional experience in industrial automation and in PLC programming and creation of visualizations (Siemens / Rockwell)
- Experience in working with ship loaders/unloaders or cranes is an advantage
- Good knowledge of Windows-based IT environments
- Good written and spoken English required, knowledge of German is an advantage
- Independent, proactive and solution-oriented way of working
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Committed, flexible and team-oriented personality
- Willingness to travel worldwide approx. 50%
