Job description

We are currently seeking several meat classifiers (gn) for slaughterhouses on behalf of our client. This position is to be filled through recruitment.

Locations: 49685 Emstek / 49681 Garrel / 49393 Lohne / 49635 Badbergen / 49525 Lengerich / 32312 Lübbecke
Working hours: Full-time, 40-hour week (rotating shifts)
Hourly wage: EUR 16.00 to EUR 18.00 depending on qualifications

Tasks

• Classification of slaughter animals and meat cuts in accordance with legal requirements and quality guidelines.
• Visual and technical assessment of the meat to determine its quality, weight, and cut quality.
• Support in complying with hygiene and safety regulations throughout the entire production process.
• Documentation of classification results and compliance with test protocols.
• Collaborate with team leaders and the production team to optimize production processes.
• Ensuring the correct allocation of meat cuts for further processing or sale.
• Monitoring quality assurance and performing regular quality checks.
• Participation in the training and induction of new employees in the area of classification and meat processing.

requirements

• Ideally, a certificate as a meat classification specialist or a comparable qualification (not essential).
• Experience in meat processing or meat classification (ideally in slaughterhouses). We are happy to train people from other fields and those new to the profession.
• Willingness to work shifts from time to time.
• German language skills at least B1 in spoken and written German.
• Driver's license and car to reach the place of work.
