Tasks
- Planning and coordination of safe, punctual, and smooth train operations
- Control of train traffic at the click of a mouse via the electronic signal box (ESTW)
- Setting routes (tracks, switches, signals) and ensuring safe train journeys
- Monitoring of operations in stations and on routes
- Ensuring the departure of trains from stations
- Communication and coordination with colleagues in the signal box, train drivers, and control centers
- Quality assurance of transportation services for passengers and freight
requirements
- Completed vocational training as a railway worker in operations (specializing in tracks)
or completed qualification as a train traffic controller
- Initial experience as a train traffic controller desirable (regardless of the type of signal box)
- Willingness to work regular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Medical and psychological fitness according to RiL 107.0002
- German language skills at least C1 (native speaker level)
- Ability to work in a team and sense of responsibility
