Tasks

• Planning and coordination of safe, punctual, and smooth train operations
• Control of train traffic at the click of a mouse via the electronic signal box (ESTW)
• Setting routes (tracks, switches, signals) and ensuring safe train journeys
• Monitoring of operations in stations and on routes
• Ensuring the departure of trains from stations
• Communication and coordination with colleagues in the signal box, train drivers, and control centers
• Quality assurance of transportation services for passengers and freight

requirements

• Completed vocational training as a railway worker in operations (specializing in tracks)
  or completed qualification as a train traffic controller
• Initial experience as a train traffic controller desirable (regardless of the type of signal box)
• Willingness to work regular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Medical and psychological fitness according to RiL 107.0002
• German language skills at least C1 (native speaker level)
• Ability to work in a team and sense of responsibility
