Tasks
- Route planning: Create efficient route plans to ensure deliveries arrive on time.
- Loading and unloading: Load the truck with goods and unload them at the destination, often with the help of loading aids.
- Vehicle inspection: Perform regular checks on the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of trips, loading operations, and any incidents.
- Customer contact: Communicate with customers and recipients to coordinate deliveries and clarify questions.
- Compliance with regulations: Comply with all traffic laws and transportation regulations, including driving and rest periods.
- Safety measures: Implement safety protocols to ensure the integrity of the load and your own safety.
requirements
- Valid Class CE driver's license
- Professional experience in truck driving, preferably in local and long-distance transport
- Knowledge of loading and unloading goods
- Safe use of digital tachographs and navigation systems
- Good knowledge of traffic regulations
