Tasks
- Overall responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the logistics department
- Planning, control, and optimization of the entire logistics chain (from goods receipt to storage to shipping)
- Leadership, motivation, and development of the logistics team
- Ensuring efficient and cost-optimized logistics, including continuous process improvement
- Coordination and monitoring of stock levels and goods movements in close cooperation with the production, purchasing, and sales departments
- Responsibility for the planning and implementation of logistics projects and systems
- Implementation of best practices and modern technologies to optimize logistics workflows and processes
- Close cooperation with external service providers, suppliers, and partners to ensure smooth logistics processing
- Responsibility for compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements
- Preparation of reports and evaluations for management to monitor KPIs and logistics performance
requirements
- Completed degree in logistics, business administration, or comparable training
- Several years of professional experience in a management position in logistics or supply chain management
- Extensive knowledge of logistics and warehouse management, ideally also in the international field
- Experience in leading and developing teams
- Very good knowledge of logistics software and ERP systems
- In-depth knowledge of process optimization and the implementation of lean management principles
- Strong aptitude for numbers and an analytical and structured approach to work
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both in German and English
- Assertiveness, resilience, and a solution-oriented mindset
