Tasks
- Transporting trash containers: Rolling trash and recycling bins from their storage locations (e.g., backyards or basements) to the collection truck
- Emptying trash cans: Hooking the trash cans onto the garbage truck's lifting mechanism and triggering the tipping process
- Loading Bulky Waste: Manually loading bulky items such as furniture or mattresses for special pickups
- Collecting bags: Picking up yellow bags or general waste bags from the side of the road
- Returning the bins: Carefully push the emptied bins back to their original locations
requirements
- High level of physical fitness for lifting and pulling heavy trash containers
- Exceptional durability in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Complete immunity to odors in daily waste handling
- Ability to work as part of a team and reliability for coordinated work within the crew
