On behalf of our client, one of the global market leaders in the chemical industry, we are seeking a Metalworking Technician (m/f/d) (Machining Processes) and/or a Machine and Plant Operator (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible at the Bitterfeld-Wolfen location.

Tasks
Be fully proficient in operating CNC machine tools for at least two machining processes:
- Register and confirm workpieces (quartz glass cylinders) at the terminal
- Transport the workpiece to and from the workstation using industrial trucks or a crane
- Replace tools when the work plan changes or when they show signs of wear
- Place the workpiece in the 3D measuring station, start the automatic measurement process, and remove the quartz glass cylinder from the measuring station
- Load and clamp the workpiece into the set-up machining center, start the machining process, and monitor it
- Identify disruptions in the workflow and relay information to the shift supervisor or setup technician; resolve minor or known disruptions on your own
- Unclamp the workpiece and remove it from the machine tool
- Perform measurement tasks in accordance with the work plan during and after the respective machining process (e.g., outer diameter, wall thickness, length, weight)
- Visual Assessment of Surface Quality According to the Defect Catalog
- Documentation of measurement and test results on the terminal (process database)
- Perform a Material Opening in SAP
- Cleaning and maintenance of machinery and equipment in accordance with work instructions or checklists
- Comply with the 5S Standard
requirements
- Completed 2-year vocational training, e.g., as a machine and plant operator (m/f/d), metalworking technician (m/f/d) (machining processes), and/or similar industrial/technical training
- Alternatively, several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) in machine and equipment operation
- Certification to operate floor-operated crane systems (certificate of competence in accordance with DGUV 309-003, “Crane Operator’s License”) is desirable
- Solid computer skills and basic knowledge of MS Office
- Physical resilience and ability to work in a team
- 3-shift schedule (morning/afternoon/night, rotating weekly)
