Tasks

Productivity & Capacity Management

• Responsibility for the continuous optimization of production processes using lean methods to reduce errors and increase productivity
• Identification and analysis of bottlenecks, and the development of appropriate measures
• Development and maintenance of capacity models for forward-looking planning, particularly in connection with product line expansions
• Definition, monitoring, and further development of relevant KPIs (e.g., yield, scrap rates, first-pass yield)
• Leadership and management of projects focused on setup time optimization (SMED) and minimizing downtime
   

Ensuring GMP-compliant production

• Ensuring GMP Compliance Within One's Area of Responsibility
• Technical support for change control processes aimed at technical and procedural optimizations
• Ensuring that CIP measures—such as adjustments to cleaning cycles—comply with established validation limits
   

Professional and Disciplinary Leadership

• Leadership, development, and motivation of employees within the area of responsibility in accordance with company guidelines
• Promoting an active continuous improvement culture and coaching teams in methodological skills
• Facilitating workshops on root cause analysis for deviations and developing sustainable improvement measures
• Design, implementation, and continuous improvement of effective shop floor management

requirements

• A degree in the natural sciences
• Extensive experience as a Production Manager (m/f/d) or leadership and professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in aseptic or sterile manufacturing
• Extensive knowledge of the application of lean production methods, a thorough understanding of Annex 1 guidelines, and experience with regulatory inspections (EMA, FDA)
• Business-level proficiency in German (C2) and very good proficiency in English (C1)
• Good public transportation connections within Jena
