Tasks
- Development and implementation of product category and procurement strategies in national and international markets
- Selection, qualification, and development of suppliers with a focus on technical components and assemblies
- Conducting market, cost, and competitive analyses to identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization
- Independently conducting negotiations on prices, contracts, and terms and conditions
- Establishing and maintaining long-term supplier relationships, particularly in Asia
- Managing and conducting supplier audits, as well as evaluating supplier performance
- Close collaboration with internal departments on new product development and product optimization
- Risk management within the supply chain and the development of appropriate risk mitigation measures
- Support for the Relocation and Internationalization of Procurement Activities
requirements
- A successfully completed degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, business administration, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement at a manufacturing company
- Strong technical understanding of components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes
- Proven experience in international procurement
- Experience in conducting international supplier visits and on-site negotiations
- Strong knowledge of cost and value analysis
- Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and common MS Office applications
- Strong analytical skills, assertiveness, and excellent intercultural communication skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (initially 20–30%, then slightly less)
