Tasks

• Development and implementation of product category and procurement strategies in national and international markets
• Selection, qualification, and development of suppliers with a focus on technical components and assemblies
• Conducting market, cost, and competitive analyses to identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization
• Independently conducting negotiations on prices, contracts, and terms and conditions
• Establishing and maintaining long-term supplier relationships, particularly in Asia
• Managing and conducting supplier audits, as well as evaluating supplier performance
• Close collaboration with internal departments on new product development and product optimization
• Risk management within the supply chain and the development of appropriate risk mitigation measures
• Support for the Relocation and Internationalization of Procurement Activities

requirements

• A successfully completed degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, business administration, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement at a manufacturing company
• Strong technical understanding of components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes
• Proven experience in international procurement
• Experience in conducting international supplier visits and on-site negotiations
• Strong knowledge of cost and value analysis
• Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
• Proficiency in using ERP systems and common MS Office applications
• Strong analytical skills, assertiveness, and excellent intercultural communication skills
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (initially 20–30%, then slightly less)
