Tasks

• Setup and preparation of CNC milling machines and machining centers (3- to 5-axis) for individual parts and small production runs
• Creating, Customizing, and Optimizing Milling Programs on the CNC Controller or in the CAM System
• Selection of milling tools, clamping devices, and cutting parameters; tool measurement; and maintenance of tool data
• Aligning and clamping workpieces (vise, zero-point clamping system, fixtures), probing, and setting the zero point
• Implementation of new programs, production, and testing of the first part
• Milling of parts made of steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and plastic according to drawings
• In-process dimensional inspection and documentation of measurement results
• Resolving machining issues such as dimensional deviations, chatter marks, or tool breakage
• Deburring and Finishing, Maintenance and Care of the Machine

requirements

• Completed training as a machining technician specializing in milling, a precision machinist, a toolmaker, or a comparable profession
• Work experience in CNC milling, including setup and programming
• Proficiency with a common CNC control system (e.g., Heidenhain, Siemens); experience in 5-axis machining and knowledge of CAM are a plus
• Ability to accurately read technical drawings, including tolerances and geometric and positional specifications
• Safe Use of Measuring Instruments (Calipers, Micrometers, Internal Gauges, Height Gauges)
• Knowledge of materials, cutting tools, and cutting parameters
• An independent and meticulous work style
• Willingness to work shifts
