Tasks

• Operating and Monitoring CNC Lathes and Milling Machines in Mass and Small-Batch Production
• Loading and unloading the machines, clamping the workpieces
• Loading existing CNC programs, positioning, and running-in according to the setup sheet
• Tool changes, replacement of indexable inserts, and entry of tool and wear allowances
• Inspecting the dimensions of manufactured parts using calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and gauges; maintaining inspection records
• Deburring and Finishing the Workpieces
• Detecting and Reporting Malfunctions, Dimensional Deviations, and Tool Wear
• Cleaning and basic maintenance of the machines (coolant, chips, lubrication)

requirements

• Completed training in the metalworking field (e.g., machine and equipment operator, metalworking technician) or several years of experience as a CNC operator; career changers with hands-on experience operating machines are also welcome
• Experience with CNC lathes or milling machines and knowledge of a common control system (e.g., Heidenhain, Siemens, Fanuc) are a plus
• Reading technical drawings and using measuring instruments safely
• A meticulous and reliable work ethic, commitment to quality
• Willingness to work shifts
• Proficiency in German to understand work instructions and inspection plans
