Job description

We are looking for an accountant (m/f/d) for a direct placement with our renowned client in Osnabrück.

Tasks

• Assistance with day-to-day financial accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger)
• Posting of incoming and outgoing invoices, as well as support with payment transactions
• Reconciliation of Bank Accounts, General Ledger Accounts, and Intercompany Accounts
• Support with monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Posting of Accruals, Reserves, and Other Closing Entries
• Assistance with the preparation of advance sales tax returns and other filings
• Support for internal and external audits
• Contribute to the optimization and further development of accounting processes

requirements

• Completed business training or a degree with a focus on finance/accounting
• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting (particularly accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger)
• Strong knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB); basic knowledge of IFRS is a plus
• Experience working with ERP systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365)
• Using Excel with Confidence
• A structured, independent, and reliable approach to work
• Ability to work well with others and strong communication skills in an international setting
• Fluency in German and a good command of English
