Tasks
- Development and refinement of the site-wide HSE strategy in close coordination with site management
- Overall responsibility for Health, Safety, and Environment at the site
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, internal standards, and preventive measures
- Further Development of a Sustainable Safety and Environmental Culture
- Conducting and coordinating risk assessments, root cause analyses, and training sessions
- Development and implementation of action plans in the area of HSE
- Ensuring compliance with labor, environmental, and safety regulations
- Responsibility for Waste, Emissions, and Facility Management
- Development and refinement of emergency, crisis, and fire safety plans
- Planning and Conducting Internal Audits
- Support for external certifications, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001
- Support for quality management regarding quality standards, customer complaints, and other quality-related issues
- Creation and further development of regulatory frameworks, manuals, and documentation
- Optimization and Implementation of Cross-Functional Processes
- Central point of contact for government agencies, workers' compensation associations, and external partners
- Active participation in operational and strategic location decisions
requirements
- A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, natural sciences, safety, environmental, or quality management, or a comparable qualification
- Certification as an Occupational Safety Specialist (SiFa)
- Ideally, additional qualifications as a safety and health coordinator and environmental officer
- Knowledge of waste management, water protection, and air pollution control
- Several years of professional experience in the HSE field at an industrial production site
- In-depth knowledge of labor, health, environmental, and quality management
- Experience with management systems in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001
- Good written and spoken English skills
- A strong focus on communication and practical application
- Ability to raise employees' awareness of and inspire their enthusiasm for safety, environmental, and quality issues
- An analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Enjoyment in working with different departments
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and fire safety is a plus
