Tasks
- Assisting the Senior Buyer with purchasing and project tasks
- Representing Procurement Interests in New Projects
- Management of and involvement in the execution of procurement processes in indirect purchasing
- Translation of requirements from line-of-business departments into clear, procurement-relevant specifications and bidding and award documents
- Coordination between departments, project management, and higher-level strategic procurement
- Conducting market and supplier analyses and identifying potential partners
- Identify and minimize contractual and scheduling risks in collaboration with the lead buyer and local buyer
- Responsibility for the entire purchasing process, from determining needs to accepting deliveries and services
requirements
- A successfully completed degree in engineering or business administration, ideally with a focus on purchasing, supply chain management, or industrial engineering; alternatively, a comparable technical or business qualification
- Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement or project-based procurement, preferably in the areas of capital goods (CapEx) and complex services (OpEx)
- Experience in managing and coordinating projects, ideally with responsibility for work packages related to procurement
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, particularly regarding contracts for work and services and relevant regulations (e.g., VOB, BGB, or EVB-IT)
- Experience in drafting and negotiating service level agreements (SLAs)
- Strong knowledge of modern procurement and bidding processes, such as e-sourcing, bid analysis, and total cost of ownership (TCO) assessments
- Proficiency in SAP MM or comparable ERP systems
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for performing profitability analyses and comparing bids
- Fluency in spoken and written German and English; knowledge of other foreign languages is a plus
- A structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong analytical thinking skills and a good understanding of technical concepts
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical requirements and cost structures
- High degree of initiative and sense of responsibility
