Production Assistant (m/f/d)

Job description

On behalf of our client, one of the global market leaders in the chemical industry, we are seeking several skilled workers (m/f/d) and/or machine and plant operators (m/f/d) for the production of quartz glass products to start as soon as possible. The positions are to be filled on a full-shift schedule at the Bitterfeld-Wolfen site.

Tasks

• Operating, maintaining, and monitoring production facilities for the manufacture of synthetic quartz glass in fully continuous shift operations
• Inspecting semi-finished and finished products according to specified quality criteria
• Provide support for maintenance and servicing, as well as for repairs and troubleshooting
• Active participation in initiatives aimed at the continuous improvement of production
• Operating a lifting aid

requirements

• Successfully completed apprenticeship as a mechanic, mechatronics technician, chemical technician, or chemical plant operator (m/f/d) and/or similar training in an industrial or technical field; alternatively, several years of professional experience (at least 10 years) in an industrial production environment
• Several years of experience operating machinery and equipment in a production environment
• A good understanding of technical systems and processes
• Ability to work in a team, reliability and flexibility
• Basic computer skills
