Tasks

• They are continuously developing their technical expertise in purchasing
• You will work closely with the Technical Development and Design departments—from the initial product concept through to production readiness
• They identify opportunities for cost savings and increase value creation through value engineering, common parts strategies, and the optimization of manufacturing costs
• They continue to expand our collaboration with our domestic and international suppliers, impressing others with their technical expertise and a collaborative communication style
• You will optimize existing purchasing and supplier processes and continuously improve them
• They ensure that the necessary items and components are available on time, in the required quality, and at competitive market terms

requirements

• You have completed technical training, for example as a technical draftsman, lathe operator, or milling machine operator, ideally supplemented by further training to become an industrial business administrator, business administrator, or industrial engineer
• Alternatively, or in addition, you may have completed further training to become a technician (m/f/d)
• You already have experience in the international procurement of components for the machinery and plant engineering industry
• You have a strong technical understanding, ideally in the areas of turned and milled parts, sheet metal parts, or electrical assemblies such as wiring harnesses and cable boxes
• You stand out for your strong negotiation skills and experience working with suppliers
• You have good to business-level proficiency in spoken and written English
• You have very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• You are proficient in using ERP systems, ideally Dynamics NAV
