Tasks
- Assistance in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) for several companies
- Independent recording and valuation of day-to-day business transactions, as well as clarification and reconciliation of matters relevant to financial reporting
- Performing account reconciliations and ensuring high-quality data and postings in the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
- Further development, maintenance, and implementation of uniform accounting and financial reporting standards
- Reconciliation and Valuation of Fixed Assets and Inventories
- Preparation and review of advance sales tax returns, as well as assistance with tax-related issues
- Preparation of informative reports, analyses, and notes to the financial statements for the business and finance management teams
- Close collaboration with auditors, tax advisors, the controlling department, and internal specialized departments
- Active participation in the optimization, standardization, and digitization of accounting processes
- In the long term, there is the possibility of advancing to a team leadership or financial management role
requirements
- You have completed a business apprenticeship, ideally with additional training as a certified accountant (IHK), or hold a degree in business administration with a focus on accounting, taxes, or finance
- You have several years of professional experience in financial accounting and the preparation of annual financial statements—ideally in a medium-sized business or in the automotive retail industry
- You have in-depth knowledge of accounting in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and a good understanding of tax matters, particularly with regard to value-added tax
- You are known for your structured, meticulous, and solution-oriented approach to work. Even when dealing with complex issues, you always maintain a clear overview.
- You have excellent Excel skills, strong analytical thinking abilities, and a strong aptitude for working with numbers
- You enjoy optimizing existing processes, developing consistent standards, and collaborating across departments
- Independence, a sense of responsibility, and strong communication skills round out your profile
