Job description

On behalf of our client, a family-owned national corporation based in Ober-Ramstadt, we are seeking a Payroll Team Leader (m/f/d) for a direct placement.

Tasks

• Providing technical and disciplinary leadership for a team of 10–15 people
• Operational and strategic point of contact for payroll accounting and time management
• Ensuring the accurate and smooth execution of all operational tasks related to payroll and time management‍
• Definition and Further Development of Standards and Workflows in Payroll Accounting
• Independently managing subject-matter-specific projects and serving as a liaison with other departments‍
• In the area of governance and reporting, you will develop functional guidelines for the group and ensure compliance with processes
• Implementation of existing and new statutory, collective bargaining, and company-specific regulations
• Requirement for the team to continue its professional development by participating in regular training programs and sessions

requirements

• A successfully completed degree in human resources or an equivalent qualification, with additional training in payroll accounting
• ‍Strong leadership and cross-functional skills, with experience successfully leading a team in operational human resources
• In-depth expertise in payroll and time management
• Experience in optimizing business processes and developing functional specifications
• Excellent knowledge of SAP HCM and Workday
• Expertise in labor laws and collective bargaining agreements, and the interface between time tracking and payroll processing‍
• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strategic mindset‍
• Business-level proficiency in German and English; knowledge of an additional foreign language is a plus
