Tasks

• Management Contact for Financial, Controlling, and Business Matters
• Managed the finance department (accounting, auditing, project controlling) with six employees
• Responsibility for financial accounting, monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
• Business Planning, Reporting, and Business Analysis; Cash Flow and Working Capital Management
• Monitoring of International Projects
• Ensuring Accurate Accrual of Revenue and Inventory
• Responsibility for bank reporting, currency hedging, and guarantees
• Point of contact for banks, tax advisors, certified public accountants, government agencies, insurance companies, and legal advisors.
• Management of Insurance and Real Estate
• Close collaboration with the CEO as part of the management team
• Identification and Implementation of Opportunities for Improvement in the Commercial Division

requirements

• At least five years of experience in a senior business management position at an industrial company
• Ideally, experience in the custom machinery, plant, or construction industries
• Extensive experience in international project management
• Knowledge of partial revenue recognition, project accounting, and revenue recognition on an accrual basis
• A bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on finance and controlling, or a comparable qualification
• Excellent knowledge of financial management, accounting, controlling, budgeting, financial planning, and financial analysis—experience in cash flow and working capital management
• Ideally, experience in group reporting
• Thorough knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB) as well as commercial and tax law
• Experience with currency-related issues and guarantee management
• Knowledge of the insurance industry
• Strong ERP skills, ideally with Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Navision, and a good command of English
• Willingness to travel internationally – M&A experience is a plus
