Job description

We are currently seeking aPurchasing Specialist (m/f/d) in the IT department for a global chemical companyat its Hanau location, on a temporary assignment basis.

Tasks

• Independently manage strategic and operational procurement in the areas of IT and professional services
• Support in developing procurement strategies for specific product categories
• Planning, conducting, and evaluating requests for information (RFI), requests for quotation (RFQ), and requests for proposal (RFP)
• Independently preparing for and conducting negotiations on prices, contracts, and terms and conditions
• Procurement of software, hardware, cloud services, IT services, and professional services
• Management of the entire source-to-contract process, including request for proposals, supplier selection, and contract execution
• Advising internal departments on cost-effective and market-driven procurement strategies
• Managing and developing supplier relationships, as well as identifying opportunities for cost savings and optimization
• Close collaboration with IT, Legal, Finance, Compliance, Data Protection, and other internal stakeholders
• Support in optimizing procurement processes and ensuring compliance with internal procurement policies

requirements

• Professional experience in strategic IT procurement, combined with experience in the operational procurement environment
• Extensive experience in the procurement of software, hardware, cloud services, and professional services
• Proven experience in conducting complex solicitations and contract negotiations
• Excellent knowledge of contract and supplier management
• Experience working with international stakeholders and interdisciplinary project teams
• Proficiency in SAP (ideally SAP MM) as well as common e-procurement or e-sourcing solutions
• Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
• Experience at an international industrial company is desirable
• Experience in procuring SaaS and cloud solutions, as well as in IT consulting
• Experience with international contracts and licensing models is a plus
