Forwarding agent (m/f/d)

Job description

On behalf of a well-known client, we are looking for a freight forwarding agent (m/f/d) for the logistics department.

The position is to be filled at the Hammersbach site as part of a temporary employment arrangement with subsequent permanent employment.

Tasks

• They ensure that picking, packing, and loading run smoothly—always with an eye on the agreed priorities and deadlines.
• Overview of facts and figures
• Preparation of meaningful reports that serve as a basis for decision-making 
• Cargo space scheduling (LTL, FTL, milk run, etc.)  
• Daily exchange with picking, transport management, order processing, and supply chain
• Ensuring optimal processes and customer satisfaction
• Interface with service providers and drivers, including professional and respectful handling of all transports
• You also play an active role in planning and coordination for project assignments. 

requirements

• Completed training as a freight forwarding clerk (gn), warehouse logistics specialist (gn), or a comparable qualification
• Experience in managing an operational unit—you know how to structure processes and bring people together 
• Basic knowledge of cargo space allocation and transport planning is a plus, but not essential. 
• Proficiency in MS Office and other common programs
• SAP knowledge (WM, EWM) is an advantage
• Advanced basic knowledge of English
